Fading Into Blue

I don’t wanna be immortal, but I’d like a few good years
Right now every breath’s a portal to a world flooded by big tears
Every drop is hanging heavy, primed to drown me from above
Life is long enough already, but not if you measure it with love

Blue, fading into blue, fade into my new self, sad as any ocean
Blue, fading into blue, fade into my true self with just one emotion

Deep in my imagination, there’s a party on the sun
But it’s just by invitation and solitude is so hard to outrun

In this blue world I am myself, a color like nobody else

If my loneliness is showing, I’ll sail off upon the wind
The moon is where I should be going, floating on the outside looking in
